Braids in my Hair

This is my first time entering colouring challenges from my brand new blog .

I can't colour this image enough and you will see various version of it appearing on here. I chose colours that I would not usually work here and I am really pleased at how this turned out. This is coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrators for the dress and Copic Markters for the skin and hair. Matting card, embellishments and ribbon from my stash!

The backing paper is from Crafters Companion Vintage Lace.

Whimsical Wonders

So today I decided to move away from the comfort of my markers to start my first project using pencils. I'm a little sceptical about pencils but decided to treat myself to the full set of Spectrum Noir Colourblends when Crafters Companion had an amazing offer on the last week. I decided to choose the Kit and Clowder Whimsical Wonders class. Alyce releases a vintage class every month at a reduced price. As this is also a Conie Fong image (I love every one of her images!) I thought it was a bit of a no brainer to give it a try. I also knew that I would need the excellent tuition from Alyce to get me started.

So I have made a start. I hope you like it!
